An Overview on the Watts Dead Level Trench Drain System

 

The Watts Dead Level is a fundamentally sound trench drain that offers a variety of high level of options and ability to customize. This drain is pre sloped at .7%, chemically resistant and UV resistant. The Watts Dead Level comes in 4 different variations:

 

  1. Brick Slot
  2. Dead Level P
  3. Series Dead Level S
  4. Series Dead Level D

 

Between these 4 variations one can find a specification that fits a wide range of site and user requirements. The dead level offers ductile iron grates for high wheel load applications and polymer grates for pedestrian applications.  Grates are also ADA compliant for pedestrian use, what we like to call heels and wheel proof. For areas such as chemical processing plants, locker rooms, showers and places that need to be hygienic the system offers stainless steel type grates. Planet Fittness recently specified the Watts drain for a site in California. The stainless steel drains were intended for their locker rooms.

Brick Slot
The Brick Slot is a slot system pre sloped trench drain system. This slot drain has a minimum reveal with 6" wide x 48 long (standard) ductile iron frames, UV stabilized talc-filled polypropylene channels with integral bottom outlets. System shall be frame-anchored, with BK grating. This slot drain comes with frame connectors, grate lock-downs, and construction covers. Perfect for pools, home, courtyards, residences and areas where you want little to no grate reveal.
Type S
Series Dead Level S Deck Channel system with 6 inch wide and 4 foot long ductile iron frame, UV stabilized talc-filled polypropylene channels with integral 4" IPS threaded bottom outlet. System shall be frame-anchored, with grating to suit load ratings from A to E. System to include frame connectors, grate lockdowns, and construction covers.
Type D
Series Dead Level D is a pre sloped trench drain system with 6" wide grates and 48" long channels. Each polymer channel is UV treated and comes with ductile iron frames.
Type P
The Series Dead Level P is a pre-sloped trench drain system with 6 inch wide grates and 48" long channels. The channels are UV stabilized glass-filled polypropylene frame, UV stabilized talc-filled polypropylene channels with integral 4 inch no hub bottom outlets. System includes frame connectors, grate lockdowns, and construction covers.
